Rates - Salmon and Halibut Fishing - Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii)

Thank you for considering Naden Lodge for your next salmon or halibut fishing adventure. As you compare our pricing with other fishing lodges, we encourage you to consider that our rates are truly all inclusive. Once you arrive at our lodge you will not incur any additional charges other than for alchohol you decide to purchase, items you decide to purchase from our gift shop, and custom fish processing such as canning and smoking. Unlike many of our competitors, at Naden Lodge we do not have hidden charges for things like:

1) Boat fuel and insurance surcharges;

2) Saltwater fishing license; and

3) Vacuum packing and fish handling charges for every fish you catch.

In addition, for those guests utilizing our private aircraft with service out of Calgary (and other western Canadian cities), you will enjoy substantial savings in terms of time and cost. Imagine leaving Calgary aboard a private aircraft at 6:30 a.m. and being on the water by 9:30 a.m. Many guests have told us that the trip home can "ruin a great trip." With our private aircraft you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the final day of your trip, head for the airport, hop on your private plane and be back in Calgary 2 1/2 hours later. When you are comparing our Calgary departure rates with the rates of our competition, remember that most of our competitors depart from Vancouver and require you to be in Vancouver the night before your trip begins. Our direct flight from Calgary (and other western Canadian cities) will eliminate around $1200 of costs for you including return airfare to Vancouver, airport parking, hotel in Vancouver, meals and beverages in Vancouver, and additional baggage charges on the commercial airlines for you and your fish.

Our private aircraft can also supply direct service to our lodge from a number of cities in western Canada such as Red Deer, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George and many others. Give us a call and we will design a customized package for you.

At this time it is uncertain what Halibut limits and season duration will be established by the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans in 2012. Although we do not believe it is likely to occur, we wish to highlight the potential for the Minister to reduce Halibut limits from the two in possession number in 2011, and/or to close the Halibut fishery either prior to or during our 2012 operating season.
